Ocean Gallery

My idea for this structure was to utilize an environment (the sea) and allow the occupants to experience it from all angles with practicallity and comfort. The gallery level, found on the second floor, is aounda meter below sea level, which makes the glass wall divided by the water line. this enables the gallery's viewers to see both above and below the surface from the one position, an opportunity rarely granted.
The Studio designed for Ricky Swallow is entirely below water, with a considerable amount of glass too allow both veiws and natural light. The studio above is sheltered by uniquely designed segregated roof that creates an open feel presenting the surroundings to the artist, the walkway even forcing a 360 veiw upon them.

WOW! ur 'ocean gallery' is really amazing, i particularly admire how youve taken the ocean environment to advantage. The design is very interesting, abstract and slightly futuristic. It kinda reminds me of a space vessel or a stationary ship, the glass would be ideal for enabling those within the space to experience juxtaposing perspectives of that overground and underground or rather overwater and underwater. its especially interesting that you've taken the datum to be the water level line. Maybe you could consider adding more colour and texture as a suggestion. But overall i think the design is so unique and amazing. really well done! =D
